Thank you for the nice review so far everybody. ^^
I'm currently working on a larger scale story; so just to keep you busy, I wrote this real quick. No plot, and probably rather boring, but it's all I have. Enjoy.
A hooded figure sat daintily upon a large couch, facing the unlit TV. In her left hand was an old book, in the right a white mug of herbal tea. All was peaceful, quiet, and perfecly-
"MURDERER!"
Perfecly interupted. She sighed and tried to concentrate on the task at hand. She would not let those fools distract her.
"Ohhhh no! That tofu crap is... crap! There is no way on this planet that you are going to convince me that eating this one plate of bacon is going to cause the world's ultimate end!"
"But Cy! How would you like it if you were in that cardboard box? Being taken apart slowly, strip by strip? Thrown onto a hot, sizzling pan?"
After that, thankfully, Raven heard no more. She was rather pleased that their meat spats only went so far before Beast Boy shrugged it off. She could tell that he at least moderately respected meat eaters. She returned to a peaceful spell of reading.
The couch dipped slightly with added weight, Beast Boy. Then on her other side, a larger dip. She had to tilt her body to the side a little to avoid falling onto Cyborg. Quiet, quiet. So far, today was going smoothly.
Then they started talking to each other, across from her. Well, it was only ten in the moning and things only lasted for so long. She sighed and tried to block them out. However, the effort was in vain.
"What do you think Rae?"
She glanced up to see the two looking at her eagerly. "What?"
"Gee, try to include you in a conversation and you don't even pay attention," Beast Boy said.
"Whatever."
"So Cyborg says that we should watch a TV show, but I think we should watch a movie. What do you think?"
"I don't care," She sighed. Shutting her eyes, she tried to find her happy place.
Beast boy looked critical, "You don't have ANY opinion at all?"
She pretended to think. "Well... no," she deadpanned. "Not at all."
Finally, they left her alone. They had a staring contest then decided on watching some silly show. She took this moment to raise the book again and read, taking small sips of her tea. She managed to drown out the television, however her attempts on their new conversation were fruitless.
With a sigh, she closed her book and finished off her tea. Then, she joined their conversation.
