This is my first fanfic, so I hope you all enjoy. Please read and review!!!! I appreciate Flames if they will improve my work. O, and a special shout-out to all of my friends who helped me get this updated. So.................. here it is.
CLANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CLANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The young girl sat up quickly, startled by the loud noise.
"Even after being here for two months, I still can't get used to that noise!" she muttered to herself. She rolled out of bed, shuddering as her bare feet hit the cold tile floor. She stood and quickly ran to the bathroom she and her three roommates shared. She spoke the word of power that would activate the light and heater in the room, and squinted as the lights came on, ever too quickly.
Looking in the mirror at herself, she saw a small girl, about thirteen years old, with long blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She was quite tall for her age, and quite pretty, according to some people. Of course, she didn't think so.
"Terra?" a voice called from outside of the room, "We've got practice in fifteen, and some of us still need to use the bathroom!!!!"
"Coming, coming," Terra shouted back. In a much quieter tone, she muttered to herself, "Jeeze, Jinx sure is cranky in the morning!!!"
She emerged from the bathroom to find one of her roommates standing outside the door. Jinx had bubblegum pink hair, and wore a fuzzy purple bathrobe with matching slippers.
"Could ya take any longer?!?" she teased, "I think my toes have frozen through from waiting!!!!"
"You should talk, Miss, I use up all the hot water EVERY morning," said Ivy, one of the other girls in the four person dorm. She had curly red hair and vibrant green eyes. Dodging a roll of TP thrown at her by Jinx, she said to Terra, "Oh, and it's your turn to do laundry, remember? And make sure to use the soap I gave you. All the others are-"
"Bad for the environment, I know, I know," Terra said, finishing Ivy's sentence, "Eh, Ivy, do ya know if Dove is up yet? I haven't heard a peep out of her all morning."
I'll save you the trouble of looking, and tell you I'm in the training hall already, Dove's voice sounded inside Terra's head. And you'd best hurry, the Headmaster is said to be coming here this morning.
"We need to hurry," Terra told the others. Even though she still wasn't used to the bells sounding throughout the day, she had gotten used to Dove's telepathy within the first week. "Dove says the Headmaster will be there this morning."
A splash and a startled yelp came from the bathroom. Seconds later, Jinx emerged, wrapped in a towel, her hair soaking wet and full of suds.
"WHAT!?!?!" she shouted. Ivy immediately burst out laughing.
"I told you," Terra said between giggles, "Showers before training, baths after! We need to be down there in five." With that she, too, fell on the floor laughing.
