Hatred
Morgan wondered when he started to hate his dad.
I don't own GH or its' characters.
Morgan Stone Corinthos did not have the best start in life, considering his dad shot his mom while she was in labor with him. But there were some good times, going to your own private island, getting fresh made pasta, and rooting for the Yankees.
(When you have to miss half the school year and have to repeat the fifth grade, the island doesn't seems like paradise. The pasta loses its taste when you overhear Dad ordered your honorary uncle to kill someone and the root ability of Yankees goes down when you find out your dad shot your new friend.)
When Michael got shot, he was sent away to keep him safe. Then he was recalled when his parents deemed it was safe. Morgan knew safe is a relative term and waited for the other shoe to drop. (Hello Claudia Zacchara. Good-bye Michael.)
Morgan didn't kidding himself. He knew Michael was his father's favorite child, the one that his father treasured. Michael was the way Sonny got revenge for A.J. causing Carly's miscarriage. Morgan wondered if he got shot, would Sonny even notice. (Probably long enough to seek revenge and then go back to whatever was right and just in Sonny's world.)
When Michael stole his girlfriend, Morgan was told to get over it, which didn't surprise him. What Michael wants, Michael gets. But it doesn't hurt any less. Morgan wondered where in his dad's priorities he landed. Definitely after Michael, before Kristina, and it probably depends on the day with Dante.
Morgan didn't know who had it the worse, genetics wise. Michael had the alcoholism and heart problems from the Quartermaines. But Kristina had the craziness of the Cassadines and the extra bonus Sonny's bipolar. Morgan had his dad's temper, his mom's impulsive nature and perhaps both of their egomaniac. But none of this matter as he watched his dad throw a temper tantrum over A.J. or Ava or Franco, he wasn't sure anymore.
"I hate you," Morgan said.
His dad didn't even notice.
