By the sea she is, forever there,
As the water flows in, but never staying.
Always empty she feels, as the water leaves.
The creatures of the sea take shelter,
But never stay for long,
For they feel the emptiness that inhabits the place by the sea.
She seeks to be filled,
Rather than stay empty by the sea.
For she wishes she could move,
To a place where she could be filled.
She wishes to be a in place,
Where she can be appreciated.
Scared as she sits there,
That she'll be but a forgotten place.
That one day she'll leave no trace,Of the place she used to be.
She is but a memory,
Fading from what she used to be,
Hardly leaving wisps of what she used to be.
She looks down at the water,
As the sea fills her,
Taking a glimpse of who she is.
But she sees nothing,
Not a breath, not a glimmer, nothing.
For that is what she is,
Empty and nothing, all at once.
She wishes to become what she once was,
Full of life, creatures living there;
The sun shining, revealing the children playing by her.
But the sun has come and gone,
Taking the life with her;
Leaving nothing but a cave, full of nothing.
Hey people, sorry it's been such a long time, and you probably weren't expecting a poem to be posted. I definitely admit to having writer's block when it comes to the other stories, To Be Lost and Found and It Started with a Dream. I also admit, I have ideas for another story, and while I started it a while back, and I have the beginning planned out, I won't be going into it until I either finish the two listed above or something.
Anyway, please enjoy this poem, I have also posted another called Time To Leave Neverland. I will be posting others.
This was originally an English assignment of mine, but I liked it a lot.
