Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh. If I did, there would be lucious shower scenes involving either Bakura, either Malik, ect. ;D

Forever and Beyond
It had already begun drizzling as he approached the grave marked with a glossy black headstone. Upon it, a name, date, and closing. But the part Bakura's eyes concentrated on was the name 'Ryou Bakura', etched in alabaster. He squeezed his eyes shut as tears threatened to well just from seeing the name that shouldn't have graced the headstone. He stopped before it and dropped to his knees in a slump, forcing his eyes open as he carefully traced each letter of his hikari's beloved name.
'I am .. so, so sorry, Ryou,' he thought, afraid that if he opened his mouth to speak, he would start sobbing. 'You didn't deserve this .. And definatly not the pain I inflicted upon you.'
A cold, bitter wind was the response to his silent monologue. It made him shiver, when normally he'd shrug it off. He leand forwards slightly, pressing his forehead against the smooth surface of the headstone.
'I only meant to toughen you up, aibou .. I did not show it, but after every one of my lessons, I felt so incredibly horrible, I could die. It took every ounce of my willpower to keep myself from taking you into my arms and comfort you, and tell you how sorry I was and that everything will be alright.' Tears began sliding down his cheeks, and even as the cold wind bit against his moise skin, he did not bother to wipe them away.
'I called you names--told you how weak and worthless you were. None of it was true, my aibou. To me, you were every bit as meaningful and important as Yugi is to is Yami, if not more. And you were never weak .. Not in the heart..' The heart .. Bakura rose a quivering hand to massage his chest over his heart, which ached even more at the acknowledgment.
'I didn't deserve yours, aibou. I cursed and scoffed at you when you told me I was like a brother to you and that you loved me as such. I wanted to tell you that .. I love you, too.'
By now, the drizzle had turned into a feverishly cold rain that beat down upon the ground. Bakura didn't care. And nor did he care if he froze to death here on his hikari's grave. A soft whimper rose from his throat as tears flowed freely to mix with the stinging rain. His voice could barely be heard through the storm.
"I will .. forever and beyond."
