"Ohayo Goziamas, Kakashi-san."

"Mm, ohayo go," Kakashi chocked on his tea. 1

A smile spread across the first ninja's face. One of the rare moments in Kakashi's life, he was shocked.

"I see you did not expect me back so soon?" she teased.

"I did not expect you to come back at all," he frowned.

"Now, now, Kakashi, no need to be hostile," the black haired girl replied.

What you did was dishonorable. I can't believe you still have the nerve to show up again," he glared.

"That's one of the things on my 'to do' list. That day was a little different than what you think you know."

"Then correct me," he folded his arms.

The girl looked around the room crawling with jounins. Not here.

"May we discuss this elsewhere?"

"If you insist, Uchiha-san."

A silver haired man walked with a nigh haired girl in silence. The dirt in the road had a constant haze wherever commotion lurked. In their case, only small clouds trailed their steps.

"How has Sasuke been?" The older Uchiha asked.

"Since when have you cared, Misako?" Kakashi snapped.

"Kakashi, why are you being unfair? You know, no wait, I'm sorry; you knew how much he meant to me!" She snarled.

"I can see it clearly now. I thought I knew how much he meant to you, but I was mistaken after you left the village," he snapped back.

"Kakashi…" she admonished.

"You abandoned him here, like your brother, Itachi."

"How dare you compare me with him? I LEFT TO KILL HIM," she shouted.

Her voice echoed down the street, and all eyes turned to them. Some surprised by the sudden outburst so early in the morning. Half a second passed before Kakashi grabbed the Uchiha's arm and they disappeared from sight.

"What happened?" Kakashi asked.

The Uchiha sat on the end of the sturdy tree branch that was twenty feet above the ground. She looked out at the Konoha village before her, face drawn.

"I went after him, foolishly. I already knew this would happen. I was too late to save my clan, so I went out to seek revenge. We fought vigorously, both of us strained mentally and physically. I was about to kill him, but…"

"You didn't have the heart to kill him," Kakashi finished off for her.

"He then took the advantage, and gave me this," she exposed her lower back where a circle of white pearl was imprinted on her back, and lowered her shirt. "I was losing too much blood, and he left me to die. I blacked out. When I woke up, I was in the village of the Hidden Mist."

"I see," Kakashi commented.

"How've you been since…" she trailed off.

Understanding her meaning, he replied, "I've been good, I guess. How about you?"

"Same, I guess. You taught Sasuke Chidori, didn't you?"

"Yeah, I did."

"Kakashi—"

"Misako—"

Silence.

"Go on," Misako prodded.

"Mine's not important."

"Neither is mine."

"When do you plan on visiting Sasuke?" Kakashi inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"Tomorrow morning. I think we're going to need a full day," Misako explained with a sigh. "He doesn't even know that I exist. Itachi made sure of that," she said bitterly.

"Then why don't we catch up today?" Kakashi suggested.

Misako smiled, "I was thinking the same thing. Ramen, right?"

-End Chapter-

D.G.: Ha, did you like the first chapter? It's kinda flaky since I wrote it a while ago. Please give any constructive criticism! I'm still a work in progress too.
