It seemed like ages since Light Yagami died from a heart attack, but in all actuality it was only 3 years and a certain someone was getting bored. He figured it was time to mess with another human. It took 5 minutes to steal a Death Note off of a shinigami. The shinigami took the notebook and threw it into the mortal world. Hoping that some curious person would pick it up. With bad luck, second year student Misaki Higarashi came across the notebook and picked it up. She ran home and opened the book and so the game began again.

*Misaki's P.O.V*

I was finished reading the instructions to this notebook called a Death Note. It made me feel weird on the inside. I had the control over people's LIVES. I could murder someone without getting chased down by the police. No! It was too dangerous. I didn't even know where this came from it just appeared on the sidewalk. ...But on the other hand, it could be fun.

*The next day*

Today in the cafeteria, I saw her. She was making fun of a Freshman. That little bitch! Doesn't she realize she used to be a Freshman too? Suddenly, she started throwing punches. That's it! She is my first victim! I pulled out my notebook and wrote her name down.

Cause of death: Kidney Failure

When: 30 seconds

I stared at the clock. It ticked away that 30 seconds fast. Then it happened. She started to slowly die. I laughed like a maniac inside my head but on the outside I played the part of an innocent bystander. Heck, even the girl who was getting beat up went to see what happened.

"Holy crap, she's dead!" A boy yelled.

I broke out into a heavy laughter. I cackled like an evil witch, which is what everyone thought I was by then. Some officers came in there and saw me laughing. They arrested me but I was still laughing on the way to the asylum. The notebook was taken from me, but I sat in that dark cell with a mouth guard and a straight jacket on.

*Ryuk's P.O.V*

That stupid child. That was hardly any fun like it was with Light. Ah well, I have to clear all of this up before it gets on the news, but before I do that I will place the Death Note in another students book bag.

Misaki's story never got on the news, but it weighed hard on the people who witnessed it. Nobody was the same. It was something that nobody could ever forget. Ever...
