The Doctor was sitting on a cliff overlooking an unknown river during the night so no one would see him. The Doctor had just lost Amy and Rory, and was trying to move past it. He wasn't having any luck. A girl walked up and sat beside him.

"When people come out here at night, they're trying to get away from something, you know."

The Doctor looked over at the girl. She had black hair, gray eyes, and a very sympathetic look on her face.

"Why are you out here then?"

She looked at the stars and said, "People."

The Doctor also looked at the stars and said, "I just lost someone very dear to me."

The girl nodded. After a silence she said, "My name's Enti by the way."

"The Doctor."

The Doctor waited to see if she would say 'Doctor who?', but she said nothing.

"Aren't you going to say something?"

"Why would I," she replied. "You could be hiding your name for some reason." Then she bowed her head and said, "Just like me..."

The Doctor looked over and said, "Enti's not your name?"

"No. That's the shortened version of my title, The Entity."

The Doctor nodded and looked back up. Enti then sighed and got up. "I need to get going. I hope to see you."

"You too."

Enti then walked away. The Doctor sat there for another three hours before getting up and going into the TARDIS. Enti had been watching him the entire time, and she smiled. She had finally found someone to talk to, not of her own race.

Yes this is a cliffhanger. Don't start begging for a sequel, you won't get it. The last line will be explained at the end of my story, A Dream That Made Since.

For those on fanfiction: look at my profile. I am more active on my Wattpad and have 2 stories up already, the aforementioned A Dream That Made Since, and this. Wattpad is for my one-shots and therefore will be updated more frequently.
