A/N) Well. I don't even know anymore.
Forget-me-nots are flowers. I'm taking it literally and flower-sense. :D
Also, this originally was a PhanLumi oneshot... but I was lazy. It was hand-written and edited now!~
Bolded Italics are the idon'tknowthoughts? Italics are flashbacks. owo
.:Forget Me Not:.
He just wanted to dream...
He blinked, watching the pink-and-blue-and-yellow flowers blow gently in the wind. The sweet scent arose around him, enveloping him in it. He could remember Aria, how she was scented with perfume with those flowers, but never too overbearing. He could remember how she always treated him like an actual person, not like another petty thief. She was the first one to trust him like so... the others did not. Not even the other heroes - all except for Freud, but he's dead now so it doesn't even matter anymore - trusted him that quickly. And if he closed his eyes, he could just almost believe that she was there, next to him, her dress billowing out behind her and her golden hair waving in the wind. He could almost believe she wasn't dead.
He opened his eyes, and the first thing he noticed was that dark clouds were gathering. He lay down on the grass, ignoring the fact that it was going to pour with rain, and get him soaked, and held a few of the flowers in his hand. He crushed the flowers in his hand... he could still remember what Aria had first told him, when she first showed him the field, with all those forget-me-nots.
"Phantom, I have something to show you." Her cyan eyes twinkled with playfulness as she grasped the thief's hand in hers. His hand was forced open, and a small blue flower was dropped into his hand. He drew it up to eye level, turning to the Empress with a curious look on his face.
"What is it?" he asked, watching the flower as it twirled slightly in his palm from the soft wind.
"A forget-me-not." Aria smiled, before growing serious. "Phantom, promise me one thing."
"What?"
"Never forget me." Aria chuckled, watching him, tilting her head gently. He smirked.
"Of course not."
He wants to dream himself to death, join his absent lover.
He crushed the flower in his hand, the blue and pink and yellow staining his white gloves. He looked up as the scent grew stronger. He never wanted to leave, he never wanted to remember the blood cascading out, her pale face, her limp body - but he promised. He wasn't going to let her go, for anyone.
He looked to the side, and there was two different piles. One was of flower stems, the petals pulled out and thrown to form another pile. There was a single flower lying on the side, a flower with five petals.
He smiled softly. He could remember what Aria was playing with the flowers he gave her. He picked up the flower, and lightly picked the petals off, and placed the petals to the side, on the pile with petals.
"Loves me." He picked one petal.
"Loves me not." He could feel Aria behind him as he pulled the petals off one by one.
"Loves me." Why was he doing this?
"Loves me not." He knew exactly what the answer would be.
"Loves me." As long as the flower had an odd number of petals, it would always end at "love me".
He would stay there, surrounded by the forget-me-nots, surrounded with the spirit of his absent lover.
A/N) Leave me alone omg XD
