In all her travelings through the feudal era, kagome had never stepped foot on a beach. she sat in the middle of camp, around the bonfire, eating her ramen, pondering about the beach and looking up at the sky. Every once in a while she would pause her slurping of the noodles, and then resume as soon as her wandering taughts came back.
Crash, and then his face was met with little sprinklets of water. The ocean pulled back its arm of water and slapped the rock again. And again Sesshouramu got a little more wet, but he didnt mind, he just sat on the boulder type rock awaiting the next shower. He loved the smell of the ocean, the cool breeze, and the over all carefree atmosphere that allowed him to relax.
He sat at the top of the tree, looking down at his family. He didnt know what a family was like, but he bet it was something like this. For the first time in decades he felt like he belonged.
It was a group of out cast, that had been hurt and wary of the world. But no one can go lonely for long. They had each tested the waters, before kagome had sneakily come up behind them and pushed them in. He couldnt really find the words to express what she meant to him or to the group but in comparison, she was like a...like a plate. Yes, he taught, a plate. And they were the food. Shippo would be the Sushi, he would be the wasabe, Miroku would be the rice, Sango would be the Soy sauce and kagome would be the plate. For with out the one plate to bind them, they would not be a meal, but simply sushi,wasabe, rice and soysauce. Each served alone.
Inuyasha smiled as he hopped from his perch on the tree and headed for the ramen that kagome had left for him...the ramen that shippou had started eating.

This chapter was just me setting the stage. I have never really finished any of the stories I write thats why I only have this one and a one-shot. But I SWEAR I will finish this story if I have to go sleepless for some days. I hope you liked it R&R!!!
