"You'd better run fast if you want to get there, Lily" said Marshall. He was big burly and husband to Lily. Lily, short and red-haired looked at him.
"Don't you tell me what to do, Marshall. I maybe a girl but I know that I have to run if I want to save that girl from Barney" said Lily.
Barnabolous Stinston, blond and awesome turned to look at them both. "You don't have to worry about saving that girl from me, Lily. I am no longer interested in her." He said. (Here, the said girl cycled off down the hill)
"Come, let's have the wonderful ham sandwiches and the cake and pints and pints of lemonade Wendy the waitress packed for us."
"What a spread!"exclaimed Ted, who had just joined them. He was tall, though not as tall Marshall and rather boring. With him was Robin, pretty and brilliant.
As they munched away on the delicious Ham sandwiches, Lily said, "I was about to save a very hot girl from Barney. But before I could, he let her go."
"Why?" smirked Ted, because he was a bit airy. "Was out of your league?"
"Ted!" replied Barney, rather haughtily. "Look at me. I'm Awesome. How can any girl be out of my league?"
Robin, who was quiet for a while interrupted. "So what do you think is the reason Barney let the girl go? It is rather mysterious."
Marshall was overjoyed, "We have a mystery to solve! This holiday won't be boring as I had expected, then" (He had joined the holiday on his own will, yet proclaimed that he had though the holiday woulod be boring.)
"Oh dear!" said Lily. "I had thought we would have a peaceful holiday this time."
"Don't worry Lilypad" Marshall put his arms round her shoulders. "Once we figure this out, we will have all the peace we wanted."
Just then, Robin squealed. "Oh look! There is smoke coming out from the house on the opposite hill which the shepherd said has been closed for years."
"Oh My God! Where's Barney?" Ted shrieked like a little girl.
"Maybe it has something to do with Barney's disappearance" said Marshall.
"Oh you are so clever, Marshall!" said Lily.
"Let sneak into that house then." said adventurous Robin.
So the four adults cycled down the hill. They had to walk the bicycles up the next slope for it was rather steep. They found a vey usual hole in the fence of the big house. They crept in one-by-one and then walked to a window, which was left open which wasn't irregular at all. They climbed into the house. Lily had to be given a little push from behind by Marshall (naughty husband). Robin, sturdy and boyish, climbed without any push. (Sigh, said Ted). A noise could be heard from the adjoining room.
"It sound's like a woman's voice" said the clever Marshall.
"Could it be Barney?" asked Ted.
"No" said Robin "Only you shriek like a woman, Theodore Moseby"
The four slowly went to the next door. It was clearly a woman. Lily opened the door. Inside they saw, it was Barney with the girl on the hill. They both were naked.
"Bless my buttons" said Lily as she closed the door in horror.
Few moments later, Barney came out of the room, now dressed. "Lily Aldrin!" he said. "Haven't you been taught to knock the door before opening it?"
"I am sorry, Barney. I have been rather ugly with my manners" replied Lily meekly.
"So you were not kidnapped" observed Ted.
"A mystery still remains" said Robin.
"Oh dear!" thought Lily.
"What?" asked the usually clever but now confused Marshall.
"What was the smoke coming out of the house?"
"Robin" said Barney "look at me. When such an awesome being is with those, I mean, that, I mean her, things are bound to be on fire."
"Oh, how stupid of me!" said Robin.
Everyone else laughed and thus ended the mystery.
