Perhaps it was the light of the full moon, or perhaps it was because he stood under the sacred tree. Whatever the reason Inuyasha found his hart unusually open, his mined drifting across numerous memories, some long past, others more resent. He looked up at the moon and remembered a story he was told when he was a small boy.

"Inuyasha?" a familiar voice cooed.

"Kagome,"

"What are you thinking about?"

"Lots' of things really, but at the moment I was remembering something my mother told me once."

"Really, what?"

"The reason why she use to cry on the night of the full moon."

"Huh?"

"My mother use to look up at the full moon, and a tear would run down her face. When I was about five I asked her why. She said that it was because she was reminded of the night my father told her that he loved her."

"Vows of love under the light of a full moon…" Kagome sighed, "Your father was quite the romantic, huh."

"Remember Kagome, I never knew my father, so I can't really answer that." Kagome drew closed to try to comfort her half-demon love.

"What happened, as I understand it, was this; my parents had been meeting nightly, the first full moon after this started my father held my mother in his arms, and whispered in her ear." Inuyasha drew closer to Kagome, she had been one of the things he had been thinking of, what they had been threw together, when they kissed. These feelings were coming to a head.

"A lot like this." He said as he raped his arms around his beloved. This surprised Kagome at first. He's been getting so affectionate lately, she thought, could this be-

She soon found herself lost in the warmth of his embrace. As Kagome laid her head on Inuyasha's chest, he brought his mouth to her ear.

"Ashitru, Kagome." He whispered.

"Oh Inuyasha…" Kagome sighed, "I love you too!"

The entwined pare brought their lips to meet. In the history of romance there have been five embraces such as this, so passionate, so pure, that have truly defined 'the kiss', this one easily replaced the kiss on the top of that list.
