Hello my friends. I'd just like to take this time to say that I don't own Fruits Basket, nor any of its characters. Second, this is a Kyo and an oc friendship! Not boyfriend and girlfriend relationship. I'm KyoxTorhu all the way! Enjoy!

"Sayuri! Sayuri! Where are you?" a voice called through the thundering night. A teenager named Sayuri ran faster than she ever had in her life. She needed to get away from this town. Her parents, everything.

She covered her arm over her face and ran through the rain that stung her bare arms and legs. 'I have to get away. This is madness!' she thought to herself.

All Sayuri did was cause trouble. Her parents hated her, and she had no one to call her friend. Her peers at school teased her all the time, but the teachers did nothing. In fact, they encouraged it. Sayuri had enough of it, and tonight was the time for her to flee this hell.

People stared as she ran through the crowds of people huddled on the sidewalk. A few of the girls from her school laughed and scoffed as she ran past without an umbrella to shelter her from the painful raindrops.

"Wait! Sayuri!" she was stopped by a boy from her school. He had long brown bangs, with odd gold highlights. He had the face of a sweet angel, and always tried to converse with Sayuri. "What's wrong? Please tell me." he noticed the tears of sadness and happiness pouring out of Sayuri's golden eyes. Such beautiful eyes….

"Let go of me!" she tugged her arm away from her classmate, and jogged down the crowded sidewalks. It was like her nightmare. 'Too many faces. Too many faces…'

After wandering aimlessly through the streets, she found herself in a quiet area hours away from where she lived. She stood on top of a large hill that seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. She couldn't go on like this anymore. She let it out. She let her screams she held back for all those years out. All her tears poured from her eyes.

Everyday someone hurt her. Everyday they found something wrong with her. "Why cant you be more like your mother?" "Why cant she act more like her father?" her teachers would question themselves.

The girls and boys at school shunned and made fun of her because she never talked, and always sat by herself. No one liked her, except for Isamu. He has friends, but most of the time, was alone, like Sayuri. But even at times he had his own opinion about her.

Sayuri looked down the hill, and the rain that covered the delicate blades of grass. 'What a beautiful way to die.' she smiled to herself, as she saw the sun breaking through the clouds. Her legs seemed to fall out from under her, as she toppled over, and rolled down the steep hill. This was the way she wanted to go. There couldn't be a better way…..

"What the hell are you doing here? This is Sohma property!" an angry voice screamed down at the broken girl below him. He gasped when he noticed she wasn't moving, and her clothes were drenched in rain.

"Come on kid get up!" he bent down and picked Sayuri up tenderly, and carried her back to the estate.
