First
Madoka didn't know how to skate.
Madoka was sitting alone on the bench, her skates were leaning against her leg as she continued to fidget in her position.
It was Saturday and Homura had called her this morning, asking if she wanted to join her for skating since she had two free entrance ticket and Madoka was more than delighted to accept the offer to spend some time with Homura. But just after she hung up and thought of what to wear, she realized they were actually going to skate and she never skated before.
Now they were here and Madoka was suppose to get ready but she wasn't sure if she should break the news to Homura. She felt guilty for wasting Homura's ticket and now her entire day would be ruined just because of her. Madoka couldn't help but felt really upset about herself, she should have called Homura back before it was too late.
Homura who had went to the restroom finally came back as she carefully walked towards Madoka while she was already in her skates. Madoka stared in awe at how Homura gracefully and calmly walked over before she sat beside her.
"Why haven't you wore yours yet?" Homura asked.
"I..." Madoka blushed in embarrassment as she looked away.
"I can help you." Homura bent forward and took off Madoka's shoe and the pinkette immediately squealed in surprise. Homura stopped and turned to face Madoka before tilting her head.
"Is there something wrong?" Homura raised an eyebrow.
"I-I can wear the shoes myself." Madoka quickly scrambled to her feet as she sat on the ground and took of her shoe. She then unprofessionally put on her skates while Homura watched her quietly.
That was when Madoka realized sitting down was the greatest mistake of all. Now she didn't know how to stand up.
Madoka started sprawling on fours as she tried to adjust her position till she would find it comfortable to stand up straight. But before she could do it, Homura held her arm and pulled her up as Madoka straightened her posture and blinked, leaning closely to Homura. Her cheeks turned slightly pink before she backed away in embarrassment again.
"You don't know how to skate, I guess?" Homura stated.
Madoka quickly looked up, opening her mouth before closing them again, not sure what to say. After a while, Madoka nodded.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
Madoka bit her lips before lowering her gaze. "I'm sorry. Are you angry that I didn't tell you sooner? I can pay you the tickets actually... I'm really sorry."
Homura softly pat her head and Madoka glanced up to see Homura smiling softly at her. Madoka blinked.
"What are you sorry for? We are suppose to have fun. You don't know how to skate, I'll teach you how to." Homura took Madoka's hand as she slowly lead Madoka to the ice rink. Madoka tripped a few times but Homura was always there to catch her.
Once they proceeded to the ice rink, Homura started skating while guiding Madoka along the way. Madoka tripped and fell and sometimes Homura wasn't strong enough to catch her and they both fell instead. They laughed instead, never cry at the pain when their butt hit the hard cold floor. And at the end of the, Madoka got several scratch and bruise here and there, but it was all worth it. SHe managed to skate a straight path without falling and it was all thanks to Homura's coaching.
Soon after that, Homura and Madoka had been going to ice-skating every weekend and now they ahve become pokemon masters.
