Stars and Feathers

Dagger woke up, startled, and shot up in bed.
"It was just a dream..." She layed back down and
turned her head to the window. The stars were sparkling bright in the heavens on a dark indigo
sky. the moon was waxing overhead in the misty heavens.
"It sure is quiet here now that all the black mages have left to follow Kuja..", She thought to
herself. "I wish i could sleep.. we have to set off early tomorrow"
Dagger looked across the room at zidane sleeping with one foot and a tail hanging over
the bed. She giggled when she saw the expression on his face, he was sleeping soundly, and
LOUDLY snoring, with his mouth hanging open and his nose pointing towards the ceiling.
"Zidane you really are somethig else" Dagger said under her breath as she turned again to look
out the window. She found it comforting to look up to the stars and just think.
Dagger was almost asleep, when she saw a shadow pass over the window. She gasped.
"what on earth!?" She was about to call out for zidane, when i sudden tingle came over her...
She couldnt move, not even her mouth, she couldnt even roll her eyes. Someone had cast a spell on
her. She desperately tried to call out to Zidane once more, but it was in vain. Just then she saw
the caster of the spell.. It was none other than Kuja.
Kuja opened the window. He was wearing an evil grin on his face.. "Hello, my canary".
"I hope i haven't inconvenienced you any.. you can move again now, but you must not talk". as he
did this he waved his hand over her and the Paralysis wore off, and lo, she couldn't talk,
or scream, or wake Zidane.
"Would you like to come with me on my silver dragon? we can chase the moon around the world..
together"
Dagger shook her head and picked up an empty bottle, but kuja grasped her hand before she could
throw it.
"My my.. a simple 'no' would have been sufficient... but oh! i've silenced you my angel... Come
away with me, you want to." Kuja waved his hand over her again. As she relaxed, he let his grip
on her arm loosten. He held out his hand to her, and she took it, and followed him out the window.
"I knew you would want to come... you just needed a little coaxing.", He smirked.
Kuja lead her over to where his Silver Dragon was sitting. It arched its neck and greeted him
with a growl.
"Take us away my dragon, let us mingle with the gods in heaven, up and over clouds and stars, to
the moon and back on this enchanted night...and then to my palace, where my queen will rest her
weary head."
As he helped her onto the dragon, Dagger felt a sudden panic..What was she doing!? Had his mind
games really convinced her to go with him...or did she? Kuja smiled warmly at her and took her
hands in his. "I will treat you the way you deserve to be treated my darling, Queen Garnet. we
can rule together, forever" He wrapped her hands around his waist. "Hold on tight"
Silver dragon took off in a fury or wind and dust, and as it flew off into the distance, a
Deafening screech could be heard.
Zidane woke and looked up. "hrmm? what was that?"
He looked over to see the open window by daggers bed and walked over to close it.
"Hey dagger you....DAGGER?!" He wiped the sleep from his eyes and looked. She was gone!
He jumped out of the window and looked up just in time to see the dragon fly off, and Dagger
looking back at him.
"DAMN YOU KUJA!" He knew that she would never do that on her own free will, and that he had to
go rescue her! He swore to himself to get revenge for all that Kuja had done, and to rescue
Dagger.
