A/N I don't know if anyone is reading my other story, but I am kind of stuck with this one. I know where I want to go, I just don't know how to get there. So I decided to take a break from this story and start this one instead.

Well and with this horrible news today, I needed a distraction. I still can't believe Nina is leaving. I am in denial. Everyone is going to stop watching and I am going to miss this fandom so much. :'( I am going to continue to watch, even if I am the only one. I can't imagine my life without TVD or Delena.

English isn't my first language, so please excuse any mistakes. If anyone is interested in being my beta, just pm me. I would be eternally grateful.

Enjoy and please leave a review and tell me if I should continue.

Prologue

They stood on the edge of a field not far away from their regular meeting place and starred into the night sky.

"You could think everything is perfect." She whispered. He took a step towards her and hugged her from behind.

"Right now, everything is." He answered and kissed her neck. She closed her eyes. "Someday this all will be over." He suddenly said fully convinced. She turned around to look at him.

"Do you really think that?" He nodded and smiled encouragingly.

"Here is going to be our house." He said pointing to the wide field in front of them. She laughed but tried to imagine how it would be to live with him. "Just us two, away from anyone else." She grinned brightly.

"With our children." She added, deciding to play along.

"Three." He said without thinking, she didn't question it.

"Mary, Elizabeth and Stefan." He looked surprised at her, but went along with it.

"And one day, I will come home from work and you will just finish helping getting dinner ready and our oldest daughter will come to visit with her husband." They both started laughing. She leaned against him.
"That would be too nice."
She whispered.

"One day." He promised.

She sat in the garden and watched her mother who was inside working. She took her phone and made sure one more time that her mom was really busy and then she dialed the number she didn't dial in way too long.

"Hi, it's me." She said softly. The voice on the other side sounded surprised.

"I am sorry, it took me so long to call you again." She listened patiently to her boyfriend's accusations, she deserved that. She didn't expect anything else.

"What was I supposed to do? I couldn't do this to her, I am the only one she has left! She can't let go of the past!" He interrupted her, before her rambling couldn't be stopped anymore.

"Yes, I miss you too.

I am going to come up with a solution, I promise.

I love you."
