The music was blaring in the barely lit bar. Leonard was sitting at a table in one of the many alcoves the bar sported. He was nursing a drink watching couples dance on the floor to some ridiculous song from the 20th century.
"Nothin' more dangerous than a boy with charm. Damn straight." He said to himself, taking another drink. His face pulled into a sour expression as the song ended and the next began. Giving up on his drink and any chance at company that night, he left the bar.
That song…it was hitting a little too close to home a little too early for him. Break ups are never easy but that pompous arrogant jer-no. Leonard sighed to himself. He had plenty of warning about what he was getting into. The man himself warned him that he was a heartbreaker, and that this would be painful in the end. And even if he hadn't, the man's name brought such a legacy to mind that it seemed impossible, even to his best friend.
"Dammit Jim, He muttered to himself, I knew that was a bad idea. Why was I so stupid? I'm a doctor not some damn silly school girl!" Leonard sighed to himself. What's done is done. All he could do now is smile and try to avoid hypoing Jim 'a little too hard' next time.
He could still hear the chorus of that damn song as he walked down the street. "Jesus, no wonder Jim and I were always yelling after we went drinking" He laughed to himself.
I'm only gonna break break your break break your heart.
A/N I don't own any of this except the plot.
