Tremble

Sena gulped, staring at all the humongous, muscled men in football uniforms before his eyes turned to his own scrawny, delicate and barely over five-foot-tall form.

There was no way he could play. They'd kill him!

No, they'd slaughter him!

"...Yeah! Theres no way we can lose with Eyeshield 21 with us! As long as he plays, I'm game for anything!"

Sena winced at the excitement in the boy's voice, slumping further into himself. He couldn't play. Win? It was more likely that'd he'd end up in a coma or dead.

But...

He couldn't just leave. Not when everyone was trying their best. Not when everyone was counting on him.

He wasn't a hero. He was just a skimpy, scrawny, delicate, weak kid who had been a gopher all his life who knew how to run. A skimpy, scrawny, delicate, weak kid who was trembling under his uniform so badly he thought he'd break his teeth if he didn't stop.

Gulping, Sena mentally said goodbye to himself as he slid into his football uniform.

He'd be killed. Slaughtered. But he couldn't leave his teammates, he couldn't abandon them to their fate without even trying.

Smirking eyes followed his small form as he made his way out to the field for the mock-game with the Ojo White Knights, slipping a small black book labeled Threats back into his back pocket.

As it turned out, he hadn't needed to threaten the damn pipsqueak this time. Hiruma would have to remember to reward the brunette that night...hehe.

Yeah, reward him.
