A/N: Hello there. This story was written for Kilodalton over at Tumblr but I thought I'd post it here too. I'm sorry it's unbeated.
"Pretty, pretty please, Doctor!" Rose said.
The Doctor shook his head "No way. I'm not doing it. Not even for all the bananas in the world will I try that monstrosity" he declared.
Rose pouted a little.
"Oh no, don't try that on me, Rose Tyler. That's my thing"
She rolled her eyes. "Doctor, it's not like it's a scary right or anything. Look at that family over there. They seem to be having a great time" She said "And we've tried much faster and taller rides than this today"
He sighed "Can't we just go and… Ooh, I saw a place that sold chips earlier. I bet you must be hungry by now" He tempted.
She shook her head "I won't be bought off the easily. You know, if you're scared it's okay to say it" She assured him. "Oh my god, I haven't been forcing you to try all those rides with while you were scared of them, have I?" She asked. Her voice was a combination of guilt and worry.
The Doctor gave her hand a reassuring squeeze "No no, I'm fine with those rides. We've had a great time so far. But…" He trailed of.
"But?"
"None of those had water" He said.
She looked at him puzzled "So? I know you're not afraid of water, we went swimming not so long ago" she pointed out.
"That's not it" He said. He mumbled something that Rose couldn't hear.
"Pardon?"
He mumbled it again, this time she could almost distinct between the words.
"Doctor, my human ears can't hear it when you speak that low" She said.
He blushed and looked down at his feet "I don't want to get my hair wet" He muttered.
Rose burst out laughing.
"It's not funny" He complained.
Rose nodded and kept laughing.
"Stop laughing Rose, I just spent a long time styling it this morning and I don't want all my work to go to waste" he pouted.
There seemed to be no end on her laughter and the Doctor decided that he would have to make her stop another way.
Rose's breath hitched and she made a sound in shock when suddenly the Doctor's lips were on hers.
The Doctor noticed and saw it as a sign that she didn't like it, but just before he drew away she ran her hands through his hair and started kissing him back.
It wasn't long before he was snogging her up against the fence separating them from the dreaded ride and apparently the parents from the nearby family didn't much appreciate it because an employee came over to them and told them that there were children in this park too and if they didn't stop it immediately he would have to escort them out.
The giggled at each other as they walked away, hand in hand.
Half an hour later they were escorted out, the Doctor holding up his trousers with his hand and Rose with her knickers in her pocket.
