Wow hard to believe this is my first fan poem of…well anything. But here it is a Persona 4 fan poem I came up with a while back. If I could get some feed back on it that'd be great.
The reflection

The true self, it's staring at you through the mirror. It will not go away, not until you accept it. You can not run from it, it's the shadow that follows you around. You can not a avert your eyes from it, it is there everywhere you look.
It's in the water that you drink,
in the screen of your television,
in the sea of your soul.
Everyone has one other self,
one shadow, which hides within you.
You try to ignore it, you scream "You're not me" but that does not make it go away does it?
It continues to stare, stating what you do not want to hear.
Trying to cover your ears wouldn't help, you know what it's saying, and you can read its lips like a finely written book.
Because what you don't want to think about will always be there, no matter how much you wish it wasn't.
"I am you and you are me" it speaks with a voice most monstrously foul,
you reject it by instinct and try to cover up any thought of it that crosses your mind.
You forget for a while and think it's over for good,
but that's where you are dead wrong.
You can never truly destroy a reflection,
no matter how many times you shatter the mirror.
