He sat on the bed cradling the beautiful woman in his arms, her sobs shook both of their bodies, her small hands clutching his shirt tightly as if her life depended on it. He understood her feelings; it hurt him to know the amount of pain he caused her, the fear, the sadness. He loved her so much he hated himself for all that he'd cause her. How could he, after promising himself that he won't let her shed a tear, be the source of her agony. He didn't have a choice, he reasoned with himself, it was either him or her, and here was no way that he'd let her get killed, he won't allow it, even if it was over his cold dead body. But he wasn't killed, no. It would take more than cannons to get rid of Mwu La Flaga, not when he has someone to return to, someone to protect, someone to love, her. And yet he still caused her pain, he left her in agony for two long years. He was surprised that she still loved him after all he did to her, she has welcomed him with opened arms and held into him in a similar manner to how she's holding him now.

"Mwu…" He heard her chocked voice, barely above a whisper.

"I'm right here, sweetheart." He said reassuringly, wrapping his arms tightly around her.

"Y…You're not a dream, are you? You're not going t…to disappear, r…right?"

"I'm back to you princess, and there is no force in this universe that'll take me away from you." He said calmly while stroking her hair gently trying to calm her down.

He felt her tossing and turning earlier, which was what woke him up; his beloved was having nightmares all thanks to him. All he could do was holding her in his arms and waiting her to calm down.

Her sobs turned to sniffles, and she slowly lifted her face to look at him with read teary eyes.

"Mwu…" She tried again, her voice hoarse from crying.

"Come on princess; let's get you something to drink." He picked her up in his arms and headed to the kitchen, she laying her head on his shoulder and holding into him tightly, as if he was going to disappear once she loosened her grip on him.

Sitting her on the counter he filled a glass with water and handed it to her.

"Feeling better now?" He asked after she handed him the glass back. She nodded her head.

"Feel like going back to bed?" This time she shook her head.

He took her small hand in his and they went to the back garden of their house, he led her to the big swing that was in the far corner of the garden. Sitting down he pulled her to sit on his lap, apparently she was still bothered by her nightmare.

"So what do you want to do tomorrow?" He asked her cheerfully.

"I dunno…"

"How about we make cake?"

"'We'? I thought that you couldn't cook. And by the way, it's 'bake' not 'make'."

"Oh yeah? But there is no difference. Bake, make, they're the same thing."

"No they're not." She said stubbornly. He smiled; glad to see her getting back to normal.

"If Milady says so." He chuckled at her blushing cheeks.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing. You look cute when you blush." To his enjoyment her blush deepened.

"I'm not blushing." She denied stubbornly, despite feeling that her face was on fire.

"Oh yeah?" He lifted her chin with his fingers and kissed her deeply, he felt her relaxing and kissing him back. After they broke their kiss he leaned back on the swing she still on his lap, they were both quite looking at the starry sky above them.

Mwu leaned forward to look at his now relaxed girlfriend to find her eyes closed and breathing deeply, she was fast asleep. He smiled gently and carried her to their bedroom, lying down next to her and wrapping her in his arms.

"Sweet dreams, Murrue." He muttered kissing her forehead before falling asleep.
