Nyah, nyah! What's up, everyone? Since I've recently started watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and I while I really like the KyonxItsuki pairing, I like the Haruhi and Kyon pairing better. x3 So, even though this story may be all wrong, that's what is for, right? (giggle)

Summary: Kyon contemplates what the odds of him being in love with Haruhi are.

Kyon was confused.

As we know, this doesn't normally happen unless he's been confessed to that one of his friends is an esper, alien, time traveler, etc. In fact, it shouldn't even have been anymore since it's happened so often.

But, no, this situation was much, much different from that. Because he thought that, in fact, his ulterior motive for remaining in the SOS Brigade might not have been as practical as he thought. Oh, no. He wasn't staying in the insane club to stop the 'Present Day God' from destroying the world as we know it, more like…

He was afraid of losing Suzumiya.

No, he thought as he walked towards the Literary Club's borrowed room, That'scrazy talk. You are NOT in love with Haruhi Suzumiya. That's crazy. SHE'S crazy!

But, a more practical side of him argued, somewhere in the back, Why else where you jealous when Itsuki was promoted to Deputy? How come you kissed her, huh?

That was for the sake of the world!

But we wound up in her new one anyway, didn't we?

That wasn't my fault.

Admit it, you're in love with her.

It wasn't his fault if he was in love with a complete nut case.

" A completely gorgeous nut case…" Kyon admitted to himself, sliding open the Literary Club's door to find a half naked Mikuru being wresled into a police officer's outfit with a disturbingly short skirt. Immediately, tears well up in her eyes.

" Please don't look!!" She sobbed before Kyon threw himself out of the room, and the door shut. He sighed.

" Remember, nut case… nut case…"
