"What's going on?"
Aang was feeling a little different. No it wasn't the fact that he had been running from a firebending prodigy bent on bringing him to the Fire Lord(he was actually used to that). It was because of the sleeping blind little earthbender they picked up from Gaoling a couple of days back. Toph was her name, born from rich and overly-protective parents she left her estate to escape from the monotony in which she had been living in.
"Do I love her?"
He thought as his mind wandered. He began to think of her admiring everything. From her long ebony hair that was usually wrapped in a bun, to her blind sea foam green eyes.
"She's gorgeous." he admitted, as he inched closer to get a better view.
Immediately he noticed her feet as calloused and as dirty as they were, they had to be the cutest pair he ever laid his eyes on. They represented the person very well, someone who was strong, rough and firm. But at the same time tender and beautiful.
But even after all that he still wasn't sure.
"Maybe if I kiss her then I'll know?" he whispered to himself.
Slowly he crept closer and closer until he smelled something pleasant.
"Mmm… jasmine." He loved that particular smell as it reminded him of playing in the gardens of the Southern Air Temple.
It was getting clear to him that he liked her.
He realized then that he was just inches away from her face. He started to get weak. He was sweating, there was an unpleasant feeling in his stomach but deep down he knew he had to do this.
He closed his eyes and dipped his face slowly near hers until their lips met. He was enjoying himself for a second but then he sensed something amiss. He opened his eyes then all of a sudden he jerked his head backwards when he realized that her eyes were open.
He was almost ready to apologize but then he remembered one crucial fact about her.
"She's blind." Aang whispered and he felt relieved.
"And she couldn't have sensed me as we're on Appa not earth!"
"Well all I've got to do is never kiss her again and she'll never know." Aang said to
himself.
Feeling quite proud of his accomplishments he found his spot and slept soundly knowing that he was never caught.
Toph still pretending to be oblivious thought to herself. "Yeah twinkletoes I'm blind but I'm not deaf."
Little did Aang know that due to her being blind not only was her sense of touch increased. But also her other senses like smell, taste and hearing.
"Too bad there won't be a next time."
"I kinda liked it." She thought to herself while grinning.
Then she too fell back to sleep secretly hoping that Aang would be stupid enough to try a next time.
