Dear readers, though magic knight rayearth had not been originally created by me, I would still like to continue its story with another season since I've found the ending not satisfying. In here, I want to complete the circle of love for the three knights…
Lantis. She blinked back the tears as she clutched on to the only keepsake that had reminded her of him. What of him now? The question had been hounding her since the day the blinding light had teleported her back to her own world, a world without him.
How she wished…could a wish be enough to send her back to him? He had said that he loves her, but could that term be a past tense now, especially since five years had passed? Hikaru closed her eyes, and for the first time, let the tears streamed down, wetting the pendant she had held so dearly.
"Hikaru? Are you ready? We're going out for dinner soon." A quiet voice, muffled by the closed door, spoke out.
Her eyelids fluttered open and she quickly stood up from her bed. Forcing a soft laugh, she shouted back, "Yeah, I'll be ready soon. Just a few minutes more."
She could imagine Fuu smiling behind the door when she heard her say, "Uh hm, the situation outside is a little chaotic. Our Umi is getting a little impatient. If you don't hurry, I'm afraid she's going to tear down the whole house searching for you."
This time, when Hikaru gave a throaty laugh, it wasn't a forced one anymore. Living with her friends had been the only plus point in her life. After graduating from their high school, they had opted for the same university in Hiroshima—a city far away from their hometown, which is why they had decided to move to a rented apartment near the school. It hadn't been an easy one, since her protective brothers had at first been reluctant to let their little sister out of their sights. After some major persuading and coaxing, she had finally managed to let them see that she was not a little kid anymore, though they had still been somewhat worried.
Walking towards the dresser, she once more gripped on tightly to the pendant before slowly giving it up and placing it on her vanity table.
"Hikaru!! We're waiting!" Umi shouted impatiently over the living room.
"Yeah, I'm coming!" She hurried out off the room, her flimsy white skirt swishing softly between her legs.
Perhaps if she had not been in such a hurry, she would have seen the light filtering in from the open windows and fall on the pendant or its light glowering…
