Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's the classic "Trouble in the Sheds" from Season 1, with added lines by tate310 (this is his favorite episode) Enjoy and comment.

One morning, Sir Topham Hatt was sitting in his office outside Knapford Station, eating buttered toast.

Just then, he saw the passengers looking up his window, all making a loud commotion. They were crosser than ever.

The stationmaster then came in.

"There's trouble in the sheds sir. Henry isn't coming out of his shed, and the passengers are saying that this is a bad railway."

"I'll go right away and see what the problem is." said Sir Topham Hatt.

When he arrived at Tidmouth Sheds, he saw Gordon, James and Henry just sitting in the sheds, staring crossly at Sir Topham Hatt.

"Let's go Henry!" called Sir Topham Hatt. "The Express is waiting!"
"Henry isn't going!" grunted Gordon.

"Why not?" asked Sir Topham Hatt.

"We are not shunting like little tank engines! We are important tender engines, and only do work if you fetch our coaches for us!"

"But really useful engines always do as they are told." said Sir Topham Hatt as he hurried away to find Edward.

Edward was shunting in the yard when Sir Topham Hatt arrived.

"You are pulling coaches today Edward." explained Sir Topham Hatt.

"Thank you sir." said Edward, "that will be a nice change."

"That's a good engine. Off you go then."

Edward then puffed away.

For the rest of the day, the trains ran on time, thanks to Edward.

But the next morning, Edward was feeling lonely. Gordon clanked passed him, blowing steam at him rudely.

"What a very naughty engine." said Sir Topham Hatt.

"They all hissed at me sir." explained Edward. "They said tender engines don't shunt, and last night, they said I have gray wheels. I haven't, have I sir?"

"You have nice blue wheels, and I'm proud of you. You're a really useful engine! But it seems to me that we need another tank engine."

Later, Sir Topham Hatt went to an workshop and looked at all the engines.

He then settled on a smart, little green engine.

"If I choose you, will you be really useful and do as I say?" asked Sir Topham Hatt.

"Yes sir! I will sir!" answered the little green engine excitedly.

"I'll call you Percy."

"Thank you sir!" said Percy.

Sir Topham Hatt then brought Percy to see Edward.

"This is Percy. Will you show him around?"

"Yes sir!" said Edward.

Percy soon learned what he had to do, and they had a happy afternoon.

Henry soon came by, and Percy blew steam at him.

This made Henry very cross, and he steamed back to the shed, crosser than ever.

"That was very wonderful!" said Edward.

Next morning, Sir Topham Hatt arrived on-board Thomas.

"You three are going to run the line for a while, while Gordon, Henry and James are serving their punishment."

"We'll show how useful tank engines are!" whistled Thomas.

"Percy can help as well." said Sir Topham Hatt.

"Oh thank you sir!" said Percy.

Edward and Thomas worked the main line, and greeted each-other as they passed by.

Percy worked the branch line, but Thomas was nervous about Aniie and Clarabel. The driver told Thomas that Annie and Clarabel would be in good hands.

Even though there were fewer trains, the passengers didn't mind.

The three big engines had been locked in their sheds until they were ready to be useful engine. They had wished they hadn't been so silly.
