A Quest OF Love
YamiKoneko: This is my first fic so please bear with me on the spelling!
(A fanfiction inspired by a story my sista wrote for english. Its a fanfiction that uses flashbacks, and may be setoxjoey eventually.)
Joey Muse: I can't believe ya even tinkin of puttin me with him *pouts*
Seto Muse: And if you think I'll let you get away with this, I assure you, you wont. My lawyers are already filing a lawsuit!
YamiKoneko: As long as I put a disclaimer I'm afraid there is absolutely nothing you can do about it, and besides I didn't say it was definately yaoi did I?
Seto Muse: *hmpfs*
Joey Muse: *sulks*
YamiKoneko: I Don't own yugioh or any of the characters, Kazuki Takahashi does.
Joey: If She owned it me an Kaiba would be at it like rabbits!

Chapter 1; The Present
The waves gently lapped agaisnt the shore of lockwarth cove as Seto puzzled over how to cross the water and reach his destination. Joey Wheeler stood by the water looking out towards the castle, a determined, yet worn look on his handsome features. They had both been through a lot, yet still had a long way to go. Seto sighed. He had to admit that the mutt didnt look half bad standing in the setting sun.
Suddenly, a small, worn down row-boat caught his weary blue eyes that were usually cold and hardened.
' I guess it'll do' Seto said aloud.
Joey turned to look at him as Seto nodded and they waded out to the boat. They had a common goal rather than being agaisnt each other, and Joey knew to let Seto take charge. They didnt talk much, words werent needed. They clambered in hastily, knowing time was rapidly running out. They took turns to row, each using strong steady strokes, each driven by the thought that they were almost there. Looking back at the cove, at the animal bones littering the shore, Seto was glad he got away from there before whatever got the animals got him. His silky brown hair began to blow gently in the breeze, caressing his cheeks and face and he caught Joey looking at him with a far off look in his eyes. The mutt then returned to the front of the boat and leaned over the edge, his hair whipping around his face. Joey could feel the spray hitting his face. It woke him up and reminded him of the times he had spent on the beach with his sister Serenity. It was not long before they reached Lockwarth island.
' Not another forest' Seto sighed looking ahead of him, still he felt a surge of pride and self-satisfaction at getting this far.
Joey rolled his eyes at Seto, before leading the way into the forest. Seto followed closely behind him, prefering to keep closer to the younger boy. He had to admit it was nice to have some company. As Seto walked his pace quickened, Joey now following him, both looking very determined. What was at stake was more important to Seto than anything money could buy, and if he had to he would give away all his worldly posessions for him.
He sighed briefly and whispered 'I'm coming Mokuba' as he started to head towards the castle again, his words carried away on the wind.

YamiKoneko: Anyways that was chapter 1. The chapters are gonna be pretty short because i dont get a lot of free time. There will be hints of shonen-ai, but i dont really know how this is going to go.
