Hey this is a new fic that I just got an idea for. I don't really write Harry Potter fanfictions but I love the franchise and thought I would take a stab at it. Let me know what you think.

Chapter 1. A coup d'etat

"Let the record reflect that we do not condone the actions of one Harry James Potter. While we applaud his actions in defeating the greatest dark wizard that ever lived, replacing him was not an act orchestrated by the ministry. We ask the wizarding community to be mindful that while Mr. Potter was once our saviour, he is now our enemy. Like any enemy we have faced, he must be brought to justice."

The Ministry had little to say after this. With Kingsley Shacklebolt now permanently elected Minister of magic after the fall of You-Know-Who, many have put to question his loyalties. A known member of the radical organization, The Order of the Phoenix, which also included Potter and many of his colleagues; many are left to wonder where the ministers allegiances lie.

Sources say that Potter's constitutes consist of many of those he served in the order with. Among them Hermione Granger, projected to be the smartest witch of the age. Neville Longbottom, and Luna Lovegood also sharing the same year as Potter. Fred and George Weasley who graduated a year before Potter and brother to Ron Weasley who died tragically in the battle of Hogwarts. Among other allies many are surprised to hear that amongst them is Draco Malfoy, acclaimed sworn enemy of Potter, and convicted Death Eater.

Many have pondered Potters motives as to why the sudden turn from the light. Esteemed favorite of the late Albus Dumbledore, and son to hero's James and Lily Potter. Though the reasons are unclear this reporter only see's the facts. Potter has continued to attack ministry strongholds and safe houses. He has taken ministry workers off the street and returned to them with no memories. What is Potter's end game? Who is next? Is anyone even safe? These are the questions we must ask our self. Did we kill one Dark Lord, only to gain another?
