Author's Note:This story is the first part of a chapter and is kind of an introduction so it won't seem like it's about the anime at first. It's meant to give a feel of the character's mental state and life state. But I hope you like it. It acts as a sequel to the original anime even though it had an umm intresting ending. I did my research and all but this is my first storyon the net, so don't eat me. Oh also the name is original and named so for a reason. Enjoy !

Chapter 1: Hitori's story
Part 1: Memory
"No, oh God no, Masato don't do this I'm sorr…,"
"No Hitori I should be sorry for forcing you to do something you weren't ready for therefore I must punish myself," click.
" Don't leave me alone, I can't." A sob and tears.
" There'll be someone else, Goodbye." A flash and a sound that resonates in a mind.
I wake in the silence of the morning, my heart beating in its midst, tears flowing down my face. Why do I, how can I bare these nightmares of memories long past and best forgotten. The pain relived over and over. My thoughts are filled with guilt and all I can think about is that day.
A noise sudennly resonates from my neighbors, ripping me from my hateful and suicidal thoughts( I hate that man, he's louder than a parade). My mind shifts to thoughts of the day before me as I place my sweaty feet on the floor, a chill runnig through my body. I slowly shuffle into the bathroom where I disrobe, turn on the shower, pour soap, and rinse all in mechanical order.
I exit the bathroom to stand in front of a shattered mirror. Fragmented like me, and broken. It brings up so many questions even though "they" all said it wasn't my fault, but I know it's my fault more than anyone else's just like it's my fault my life sucks. But why I always ask myself WHY, are they all blind or is it me? I don't understand it.
My clock chimes, and I pick up my bag. I'm off to school. I open the door of my apartment, walk down the hall and hitch a ride on the elevator. I step out the building and who should be there but ever cheerful Anna.
"Hi Hitori," she jingles. She always seems so happy.
"Hey," I answer back being she's the only person I really have. She's been with me ever since the incident. If it wasn't for her I know I would've done something by now. Annoying at times she never fails to give me some cheers. I mean she's my reason for living. But even though I've got her I just can't seem to let that day go. But for now as we walk I'm smiling for her.
We soon reach the school, a massive crowd of students filling the front courtyard. The sun is coming over the horizon shedding light on that mysterious metal husk. The bell rings five minutes after our arrival and everyone crowds into the school. We both separate and I take my way up two winding flights of stairs. I walk to the end of the hall and enter my classroom. The alarm sounds and it all crashes down.
