A/N Merry Christmas! In the spirit of Christmas here's a short little story about Vlad and how not matter what happens he seems to loss. Also think of the cat Vlad had in Infant Realms, I like that one better that the cat he has in later shows.
Vlad was look all over his mansion for his cat, Maddie. He wanted some company but he couldn't seem to find his only companion.
Vlad sudden heard a meow from the last room he was going to check (of course).
Vlad entered to find Maddie sitting on the window sill of an open window giving of a series of short meows at something outside.
Vlad walked over to the window and looked out to see a fat orange cat looking up at Maddie. The orange cat prepared to jump up on the window sill. The cat's attempt ended with him only able to get his font half of his large girth on the sill. His back legs moved frantically to try and get his back half onto the sill.
The fat cat had managed to use his front half to pull the back half onto the sill. Once he was on the sill him and Maddie began to rub up against each other, purring with delight.
Vlad looked at the sight in pure anger. He wasn't about to let some fat, clumsy, stray cat cohort with his fine Maddie.
Vlad rushed forward and gripped the fat cat by the scruff of its neck lifted him up. Upon lifting the fat cat he caught the name stitched into the collar, Jack.
Was this some strange irony, o how Vlad despised that name.
Vlad tossed the cat out the window and like all cats Jack landed on his feet.
He turned back to the window and let out a longing meow to Maddie. Before Vlad could pick her up she jumped out the window and walked over to Jack. They rubbed against each other for a short moment purring.
"Maddie, bad cat come here" Vlad called.
To bad Vlad never heard the saying dogs come when they're called cats take a message and get back to you.
And Maddie was no exception to the rule as she ignored Vlad's command.
Her and Jack disappeared into the dimming light of dusk not caring as cats are creatures of the night.
Vlad lost sight of the two cats and was now in a fouler mood than before.
Two weeks went by before Maddie returned to Vlad's home. Vlad was happy to see his only companion return but noticed as the weeks went on that Maddie was growing fat.
Later Vlad learned that her rounded belly was due to her being pregnant. And shortly after that information Maddie gave birth to two kittens. (So cute)
The first on out was an orange female and the second was a black male. Yet another stab at irony for Vlad.
The black made it quite clear from the day he opened his eyes and finally saw Vlad that he hated him and Vlad learned to hate him.
The black kitten hissed, scratched, and bit Vlad and chance he got.
Vlad became accustom to avoiding the black kitten he named Dan in likeness to his teenage foe. Vlad had also become accustom to the fat cat named Jack popping in every now and then to see Maddie and his kittens.
Vlad thought all this irony was giving the fates a good laugh at his expense. He couldn't believe this he lost his cat Maddie to one named Jack just like the original Maddie. Once lost she had two kittens like the original Maddie had two kids. The kittens and human Maddie's kids had the same gender and hair color. And the final touch was the younger male hated Vlad like the original Maddie's boy.
Vlad sat down in a chair in his study shaking his head think I just can't win.
