A/N: Hey folks! I'm back, with an HG fic! Special thanks to Nona (aka dewdropsandcrowns) who suggested I write about this in the first place. So anyway, this is the story about how Finnick's son and Johanna's daughter got their names.

Disclaimer: I am not Suzanne Collins, nor do I own the Hunger Games.

Names etc.

Two nights before the Seventy-Fifth Hunger Games. In all honesty, they should have been training, not hanging out in the small "basement", if you could even call it that. But they were, as it was probably the last time they'd see each other before being tossed into an arena to fight each other to the death. These two weren't star-crossed lovers, in case you thought that. They were just friends, allies, pretty much family. She had lost every person she cared for, and in his case, most of his family had left him.

Now, it was just the two of them.

"Finnick, I'm scared. I'm never scared."

"Don't say that, I bet you'll win. You won before didn't you?"

"You don't get it, do you? I'll be up against people who have won it before. Up against you."

"Let me repeat myself yet again, Johanna..."

"Anyway, I want you to win. You have a family to go home to."

He scoffed. "They don't care about me. They don't even write or …."

"Annie, then. She loves you and she needs you."

"Well, Annie's important. Very important. That aside, I could never live with myself if I killed my best friend, so look here…"

She cut him off again." And you think I could?"

"I didn't mean that. We may not even be the final two. But when you win..."

"..if I win.." She corrected him.

"If you win, name your kid after me."

"Seriously?"

"You don't have to. Just if you want to. And if it's a girl, name it after Annie."

"I like the idea. And… if you win, could you name your kid after me? Actually, just fit me in the middle name."

"Sounds good. "

Alright then, deal."

"That's how I got my middle name?" asked 5-year-old Finn.

To be exact, Finn Johann Odair.

"Yep. That's also how Anna got her name, because she's Aunt Johanna's daughter." explained Finnick.

"Cool! Maybe I'll name my kid after my best friend."

"If you really want to. But make sure they have a good name, not Cashmere or Glimmer or something like that."

"I like Cashmere for a kid's name."

"Oh, no…"

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed, please review, and have a nice day!
