I knew he would change my life in some way, I just didn't realize that he would turn my entire world upside down. I was caught off guard to hear my own forbidden dream thrown back in my face, my desire to be human. A desire that burned inside me from the spark of his first touch. Never had I wished it to come true with such intensity. But when his hand gently caressed my face and his lips tenderly pressed against mine, I knew. I was from a different species, from a different time, but I had a place in his heart. And that was enough.
AN: So...it's not really a drabble, since it's over 100 words (sad face) but I just didn't want to change anything cuz I like it. Just watched the remake and loved it! I have to admit, I loved the tension between Leo and Ari and though part of me wanted them to end up together, I did really like the sad goodbye. It spurred me to write again, for now at least :)
