"Andi, please see sense. If you leave now, what good'll that do for anyone? You're safer here."
"Safer, maybe, but I'd rather be out of here than 'safe'." Andromeda looked cautiously at Narcissa. Andi'd been considering leaving for what seemed like ages now, but either she was having doubts or just hadn't gotten around to it – she couldn't be sure which.
"You know if you go off and marry…" Narcissa hesitated. "him, Mother and Father'll be furious." She looked nervously up at her sister. "What will I do? Bella is fine with Rodolphus, but what will happen for me?"
Andromeda sighed, firm in her decision, but she didn't like to see Narcissa this hopeless. "You'll be getting married soon anyway, it'll all be fine. Don't worry about me, Cissy."
"You're making a mistake," Narcissa mumbled. "You're always good at acting how they want you to, even if you don't agree with them. You couldn't stay for me?"
"I'm sorry. I've made up my mind. Besides, acting how they want doesn't mean anything. 'Behaviour is what a man does, not what he thinks, feels, or believes.' If you need me, you'll be able to find me."
Narcissa sighed, watching forlornly as her sister left the room, left her.
