Prologue- A tale of two souls.-
It was a day like all others. Birds were singing. Flowers were blooming.
And those two were still going at it.
The beams flashed a wild electric blue, and streaked across the judgement hall. The slash of a blade, a miss. More bones, oh so many bones...
But something was different today. A tear in the timelines. A small hole, ripped open by countless resets. And in through this hole, stepped an army of humans, dressed in strange garb, masks covering their faces. They stormed the empty corridors of the castle, all the way to the hall. They moved silently, as a single unit, well trained in the art of stealth. They ran from corner to corner, staying concealed.
Frisk was the only one who noticed. She was alone, inside her own body, drifting like a ghost. She had time to notice these things. Even during battle. Chara had long ago taken control of things, and she personally didn't care what happened anymore. So, she stayed silent as they approached. Frisk drifted between the bodies of these ninjas, making sure not to be noticed. She was all but a ghost, she was more of a shadow than anything else. So, she watched from a distance, watched chara's graceful spins and slashes, sans' lightning-quick dodges. He was running out of stamina. She could tell from here. She turned her attention back to the ninjas...
Just in time to see one CRUSH the save point under his giant boot. Frisk raised an invisible eyebrow. This was getting interesting. How was this possible? Save points weren't corporeal objects to anyone but beings with determination...
...WAIT, That means...
She wasn't fast enough. She wouldn't make it across the hall before they got to them. If the save point was overridden, they would both dissapear into the ether. She couldn't let that happen to him. Not again. Nobody, not even Chara, (Especially Chara), deserved that. She would save him, just like he saved her from herself. She... couldn't...
The first ninja pulled out a rope, waited for chara to swing, and jumped out of the shadows. He grabbed him, tying his arms before anything else. It worked, chara was unable to swing at them in time, causing him to be restrained easily. Sans put up a fight, but was ultimately captured as well. They knocked both of them unconscious, and RAN LIKE HELL. Frisk couldn't keep up. Hallway after hallway. She finally managed to attach to one of them, and she glided along easily inside his shadow. It was the big fellow who had restrained sans, and he could run fast, but was slightly slower than the rest of them. Then, she saw it. In the place where she first fell down, there was a massive rift in space-time. Timelines merged, sputtered, and died there. In other words...
Undertale was collapsing out of existence.
She jumped through the rift, seconds before the last few timelines collapsed. The rift closed behind her. The big guy carrying sans was right ahead of her. She was glad he made it. She looked around, and one thing was for sure...
They weren't in the underground anymore...
