The Composer of Everything and the Conductor of Nothingness

Chapter 1- Part1: The Good and Bad News

A/N: This story takes place after the game. Shibuya is saved, Neku and the others are returned to the R.G, and none of the reapers were erased….

Location: Dead God's Pad

Joshua lied on the couch blankly staring at the ceiling. Every few minutes he would sigh and change his position on the couch trying to get comfortable and relax, but couldn't, he was just too restless.

"Ugh! It's so boring around here!" Joshua shouted through the empty room.

"Boss, is that you I hear complaining?" Megumi asked as he entered the room.

Joshua turned his attention off of the ceiling and on to Megumi, who has a small contempt smile.

"Why, yes, that was me complaining." He said using some sarcasm.

"Oh. May I ask what's wrong?" Megumi said in a cheerful tone.

Megumi positive attitude was slightly annoying Joshua, so he sounded angry as he said, "Isn't it obvious? It's way too quiet around here! It's boring!"

"And why do you feel that way?"

"Because there's nothing interesting to see or do! Everything is simple and bland, nothing is complex and intriguing!" Joshua Stated as he stood up off the couch.

Megumi chuckled as he suggested, "Why don't you get involve with this week's game? The new player look very-"

"Boring" Joshua cut him off. "All of them are boring, worthless. If I join the game I'll erase them all in a moment without hesitating."

Megumi face became sort of worried because he knew Joshua was serious.

"Ummmm, well, if that's the case, we're going to find something else to keep you busy." Megumi now chuckled nervously.

"He needs to keep busy?" Hanekoma said as he entered the room. "That's good, 'cause I have something that requires his full attention"

Joshua folded his arms and said, "It's polite to say "hello" when you enter a room, Hanekoma."

"Huh? Oh, sorry, sir." Hanekoma said as he lazily scratched his neck. "Hello, boss. Hey, Megumi."

"Hey, Hanekoma" Megumi gave a small wave.

"Now, Hanekoma, what is that thing that requires my full attention?"

"Yes." Hanekoma's face suddenly turned serious. "I'm here to report that all the planes are at risk of being erased."

"What?" Both Joshua and Megumi shouted, being caught off guard.

"Yes. Today at 11:25 this morning three angels escape from one of the higher planes. A little later a lower plane was attacked and erased."
