This is dedicated to anyone who has ever had someone walk out on them during hard times. I was in the inspirational mood.
I don't own Sonny With a Chance
Connie Monroe took the hand of her daughter Allison as they walked out of the courthouse. After a month of arguing, her ex-husband had one, leaving her and her daughter with barely anything but a car and savings. She had always bee the stay at home mom, never working.
"Mom? What are we going to do?" the 11 year old girl was scared. Scared of the world beyond what she had known.
"Allison, no matter what, just keep a stiff upper lip and always smile. We're gonna make it through this baby." her mother said as she kissed her head. The truth, throughout the next year, it was hard for both. After the first month, the savings ran out and Connie still didn't have a job. But Allison obeyed her mom. She always smiled. And when people asked her how she would always stay happy she would reply
"I still have 3 meals a day, even if they are small. It could be worse." and when Allison started high school, she met a friend who stayed with her no mater what, Lucy. Allison was not popular, she wasn't even known by more than 6 people, but no mater what, she smiled. On her 14th birthday, she was given 2 things. First, she was given a video camera, something that would change her life forever, and a nickname, to make sure everyone knew she always smiled. This nickname was Sonny. And thus, through a father who didn't care, a stiff upper lip, a smile, a video camera, and a nickname, Sonny Monroe was born. But most people don't know her story. Why do I ? because I'm her husband, Chad Dylan Cooper, and I can read her like a book.
