You had to listen carefully to Shigure
otherwise your mind would be wrapped
around distracting stuff
and the truly important parts would slip away
like oil, and you're the water

And he doesn't make an effort to change that
because more than half a dog's growls are
nothing anyway; his bark is worse than his bite
after all, and he doesn't care to go back
on that impression

So if you don't want to miss the gold at the rainbow's end
you'll listen, and you'll listen well to him
otherwise you'll be chasing pixie dust
all day, when he'd told you the easy way.
