Short Story: Can his death be averted?
Characters: The Doctor, Amy, Angel (Portrayed by David Boreanez),
Theme: I don't know
Cordelia missed her half-demon friend, regardless of him passing on the visions to her, she wasn't only member on the Angel team who did. Angel, the vampire himself with a soul, had regarded him as a friend who started it all. And took Angel to the levels where he became a hero. Even with a 'rogue' demon hunter on their side it just didn't feel right without Doyle.
Angel waits at the corner of a street, at night.
The odd, almost similar elevator sounds finally came.
"Finally." Angel said,taking a sigh.
He had waited longer for other people, but waiting for the Doctor was like a needle in a haystack; calling the Doctor then waiting for a awfully long time. The man who's live 200+ years as a vampire is unsure on one thing; which version of the Doctor he may meet,
The Doors to the big blue box open.
"Welcome to Los Angelous, Amelia!" A man exclaims, coming out the big blue telephone box. He is wearing a bowtie, tweed jacket, brown pants, white buttoned up shirt, and black boots. He is followed out by a woman. "In America. Not London. See? I go to different countries other than London."
Angel wasn't familiar to this "Amelia" character. It has been ages since he last met the Doctor, anyhow
Amy looks forward, seeing Angel.
"It's Amy," Amy corrected him. "There's a mysterious, brooding man staring at us,"
"Hello Doctor." Angel starts.
The Doctor turns his direction from Amy towards Angel.
"Oh." The Doctor said, developing a smile. "How's your friend Doyle?"
"Dead." Angel said.
"Doyle?" Amy repeats. "Who's Doyle?"
The Doctor goes into his concerned, yet still friendly mode.
"Irish, half Demon." The Doctor explains to Amy. He waves his right hand lightly. "He was actually a good demon—No he didn't posses bodies, his face could change like what a porcupine has.
Angel took a step forward.
"I want to know if his death can be averted."
Amy looks back at the Doctor.
"Since when did you get asked to avert deaths?" Amy asks the Doctor.
"Since never." The Doctor lies. "Angel, you know I can't interfere in fixed time."
"You do it all the time."
"Not fixed time.' The Doctor boldly told him. "If you died in his place or Cordelia; Doyle would have died from being insane without the human influence in his life and a personal vampire friend."
Amy is confused.
"What is fixed time?" Amy demands an answer. She folds her arms, then tap her foot waiting for the Doctor to tell her.
Angel looks away from the duo.
"It's something that can't be changed." The Doctor tells her, in low voice. "Once it is written and read in the future, it is given. A timetraveler cannot change what is Angel wants to change history and not let Doyle get redemption."
"But how did he die?"
Angel and the Doctor become silent.
"He died, nobly." Angel said, ending the eerie silence.
