He was the only thing anchoring her to this world. He meant the world to her. His life was worth a million of hers. His beauty astounded her. He was so young, so innocently happy that his beauty was magnified.

Most of the time she would stare out the window and watch the snow falling softly. Her silent tears ran down her cheeks like silver raindrops.

He watched her fade away, yet she never let him go. She clung to him like breath clings to glass. He was her world. He was the only reason she stayed alive.

She watched over him like a mother. Everytime he took a breath, she was reminded of how beautiful he was. His heartbeat meant more to her than anything she could describe. His every move was precious to her. Her life revolved around him. Everything she did, she did for him. No matter what happened, she always thought of him.

She awakened the fury of a monster. She pressed the statue into Percy's hand and managed to stop the thing. But in order to save her friends, she gave up something.

Her thoughts raced as she fell. But they were all about one boy. His beautiful face was the last thing she saw. His name escaped her lips, a whisper to her beloved.

"Nico," she whispered. She closed her eyes. And then, there was nothing.
