My friends Stephen, Natalie, Becca, Lizzie, and I stood in front of Disneyland, smiling at it happily. We had always dreamed about going to Disneyland together, and now was our chance. After many hours of begging and whining (for the cause), my mom and my step dad finally agreed to take us to Disneyland. And here we stood, all together, smiling happily at the place we wanted to go to so badly.
"This is it!" I said joyfully. "Who's ready to have some fun?"
"I know I am!" Stephen exclaimed. Stephen was the big Disney freak in our group, so he was probably a lot more excited (doubt it) than we were. Ever since I had met him in 7th grade, he had loved Disney. When you hang around him a lot, the Disney crave kind of rubs off on you. I know it definitely worked for me.
"I am!" Lizzie said. "Although I'd much rather go to the Harry Potter theme park. No offense Ash-chan."
"None taken," I replied. Yes, my bud Lizzie. A true die-hard fan of Harry Potter and Naruto. You gotta love Lizzie!
"I'm totally ready for the roller coasters!" Natalie said, jumping up and down. Natalie is the sports person out of all of us, but she loves the thrill rides, and she's always there for you!
"That's only because you had sugar," Becca replied. "But I do agree with you!"
My friend Becca; fun, can be pretty hyper (if you give her sugar, which you probably shouldn't!), and an all around nice person. She's always ready to have fun!
"Well let's not just stand here!" Stephen said, starting to walk toward the gate. Natalie grabbed his shirt and pulled him back.
"What? I thought you guys couldn't wait to get on the rides?"
"Yeah, but you can wait for us, and for Ashley's mom," Natalie said.
"Oh right," Stephen mumbled.
Since we had ran ahead of my mom and step dad, they hadn't reached the gate yet. I turned to see if they were coming, and they were. "Finally!" I said. We turned and walked toward them. We stopped in front of them and immediately my mom said, "Ok you got your tickets right?"
"Yes," we answered in unison.
"And you each have enough money for souvenirs?" she continued.
"Yes," we answered again.
"And you each have your cell phones on you, charged and ready to go?"
"Yes mom we have everything," I answered. "Don't worry. We'll be just fine!"
"Ok then we'll meet you back at the hotel when Disneyland closes," my mom pressed on.
"Ok," I answered. "Just don't be surprised if we get locked in the park."
"Like that will happen!" my step dad, Michael, laughed. I rolled my eyes.
"Well you guys have fun!" my mom said, and she and Michael turned to leave. "Bye!" we called after them. We pulled out our tickets and ran to the gates.
Once we were inside, we all pulled out our maps and examined them.
"Where to first?" I asked excitedly.
"Splash Mountain!" Stephen exclaimed.
"No way!" Lizzie said. "How about we go on Indiana Jones?"
"Oh heck no!" I said. "I hate snakes!"
"So does Indy," Natalie said. "How about we just go on the Matterhorn?"
"Or we can go on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad?" Becca suggested.
"Maybe we should go on Pirates," I said. "What do you guys think?"
"Yes!" Becca said happily. I looked around at everyone else. "How about you three?"
"That's cool with me," Natalie said. "How about you Lizzie?"
"Sure, Stephen?"
"Ok," he said. "But then we're going on Splash Mountain!"
"Ok" I agreed. "Well let's get moving! We don't want to waste our day standing here!"
