Disclaimer: I own nothing, nada, nope. Here's a little one-shot that my brain forced out after watching the Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Lucy is a little more outgoing and… wild? I think that explains it, lets just go with AU. Anyway, enjoy.
Lucy's P.O.V
"I am sorry King Edmund, but the chain of command starts with King Caspian on this ship," the captain said apologetically, "As it is his ship, therefore under his province."
"Forgive me if I'm wrong, but if that is your argument good captain, then the chain of command starts with Lucy," Edmund said cheekily, letting the man know he was teasing him. They looked confused.
"You are right," I said, "I was gifted with the glistening Eastern sea by Aslan himself, am Pirate Queen of the Brethren court and is the only person on this ship to know where we are going."
"Nobody knows what lies east of the Lone Islands," Caspian said. I smiled at him, the poor naive boy.
"Oh I wish," I started, before Edmund dropped what he was holding.
"Why…" he said slowly, "Did we not think of that last time? Lucy, wish we were our proper ages." Hope ignited in me, I could shed this too small skin and be the way I ought to again.
"What, what good would that do?" Reepicheep asked as we made our way back on deck.
"Lucy has the most curious friendship with Dionysus the God of Wine, Madness and Debauchery," Edmund said, "He granted her wishes in Narnia, but each time she wished it had a price in the realms of that he presided over."
"Yes, but if I do something that encases one or two of them, there would be no price and I could stop being so infernally child sized," I said, "It will only work if he's still around though."
"And how do you figure that out?" Reepicheep asked as I looked up and saw part of the mast would swing around and hit me, possible killing me at that size.
"Oh she's about to do something mad, life threatening and stupid" Edmund said, as I cut the line. Suddenly a warm mass of fur was on top of me. Aslan.
"Lucy, how many times do I have to tell you not to do that," he growled to the surprise of the crew who were on their knees in front of the great Lion.
"At least once more darling," I responded laughing.
"You know, as fun as this is you could have just yelled for me," the God said appearing, the mast magically reattaching.
"Good to see you D," I said before looking up at Aslan's golden eyes, "I wish Edmund and I were as we ought to be." There was a sound of rustling wind and I was twenty-eight, Edmund twenty-nine, once again. I smiled up at the Lion that I was in love with, not that he knew it and kicked his back leg out from under him, flipping us until I sat on his belly.
"Hi honey," I said letting out a delighted laugh, "I'm home." The entire boat was so silent you could hear a pin drop, everyone was shocked. Aslan merely let out a sound that was half a laugh, half an irritated growl. Edmund clapped his hand to his forehead and covered his eyes, face palming.
"Oh here we go again," he groaned.
There you go, just a short bit of nothing. Tell me what you think.
