The True Value of My Hiruseki Stones
If I were an Ice Maiden
I might be the richest woman in the world,
But the cost it took to make them
Can never be repaid.
The money can't bring back
Their warm smiles or laughing eyes.
It can't bring back the loved ones I lost
Or erase the pain of their passing.
So why would I want my hiruseki stones?
They're obviously worthless.
I actually wrote this poem about two weeks ago, and it was one of the very rare times I cry.
A very dear friend passed away, and I couldn't stop the flow of hot tears that streamed down my face and fell like rain on my bare arms, bringing no warmth to my cold and desolate heart.
