"From this day forth, you shall live your days as a reborn angel." Sparda walked up to me and placed a gentle yet warm hand on my pale shoulder, and gave me a smile. "Now, go." He gave me a slight push towards the white illuminated portal before me. I stared at it hesitantly.

Did I really want this?

Was I truly not meant to die yet?

I had overcome my own demons, the horrible nightmares I faced in Fortuna Castle during my childhood as my redemption. With fists clenched, I started off toward the portal that would take me back to the world of the living. This time, with Hewie by my side.
"C'mon boy," I motioned for my white companion to join me in waking up to the old world as a new person, a new being.

As an angel.

Hewie and I jumped in and were blinded by the bright beams of light of travel, I forced my eyes shut so they'd be prevented from stinging.
Before I knew it, it was pitch black again, and I could hear the familiar sounds of police sirens and fire crackling all around me. I opened my eyes to Hewie gently licking my face. I was so relieved to see him there. I looked at my surroundings only to discover that I was in the same place I had died at.

The same place Vergil had killed me.

And where Dante and Kat helplessly watched.

And the large crack in the ground from where I had plummeted from high above.

I looked down at my shirt to see it bloodstained and tattered from the stab wounds. My stomach and heart were good as new, no wounds whatsoever. It seemed as if only my clothes were tattered and dirty. I placed my hand around my neck ad felt my choker around it, and the piece of the amulet Vergil had given me from his own amulet was still there, hanging and attached to the chain and metal bearings. I noticed that Sparda had not taken it as a cost of my revival. Even though he had spoken of it as a payment. Then I realized...I was alive. I felt tears well up in my eyes and run down my dirty cheek. How long had my body been here? I noticed it wasn't rotted, but the blood around it was dried and old. I had wondered if they had just left me there. My skin seemed to have a faint glow, in which I assumed was a side effect of being a said angel. I looked down at the ground and wiped my tears, and smiled softly.

"...thank you, Sparda."
