The Cheese of Marmalade

In the village of Marmalade, there lived a slice of blue cheese known as Curdy. Curdy was a wise old piece of cheese for he had seen many years. Everyone in Marmalade looked up to Curdy for his wisdom. If anyone needed advice, they would go to Curdy. Curdy enjoyed his simple life: helping those who needed help. For a vacation he would often travel to the village next to Marmalade called Front Pantry and he would share his wisdom with the residents there. The residents of Front Pantry always seemed to be leaving the village and were replaced by new foods; and Curdy did not know why.

One day, when Curdy was visiting Front Pantry he experienced something that he never had before. He was sitting outside on a bench, telling stories to young chips, when he felt a rumble. Then, a long arm with a hand on the end, which was much bigger than Curdy's, grabbed him. Curdy was snatched right out of his world: the Pantry.

Curdy heard another loud rumble and he looked over. He was expecting to see the little chips he was telling stories to in Front Pantry, but instead he saw a large door. Curdy looked at the arm that was holding him and, with his glance, followed it up to a shoulder and then a face. Curdy got his first glimpse of a creature known as a human. Curdy had heard rumors of these beings that lived outside the Pantry, but he did not believe them... until now. The human said, "I think I will make some salad dressing. This blue cheese is very nice." Curdy was scared. He did not want to be made into some sort of "dress" for a salad. He wasn't exactly sure what being made into dressing was like, but he was sure it was bad.
