The Night Before Her Return

As she lay awake in bed, she couldn't help but think of him. She thought of the time he had spent with her here and the time she had spent there with him. She missed him more than anything. He was her life force. He put the spark into her days when she was with him. When she was with him she never felt lonely like she did now. He meant the world to her.

As she lay there a single tear escaped from her eyes. The tear belonged to her one true love Inuyasha. Kagome longed to see him again. She wanted nothing more than to be in his arms once more.

"I never even got to say good bye," Kagome suddenly cried out.

She was starting to feel panicked. Like the world was closing in on her. She needed to get out of here. She didn't know where she was going she just knew she needed to run. She didn't care if the only thing she was had on were her pajamas and slippers. She ran out of her room and down the stairs. And soon she found herself outside in the cool spring time air.

Before she knew it her feet had led her to the place she had first met him. It was the sacred tree. She openly began to sob as she looked up at the tree that one held her beloved. The very tree she had released him from nearly 3 years ago and 500 years in the past. She reached her hand up and felt the scare on the tree. The scar that was made from the arrow which had sealed Inuyasha to the tree for 50 years almost felt magical to her touch.

Kagome took a deep breath and began to calm down. It was easier to not think of her lost love when she had been in school but since she graduated last week and no longer had studying to do all she could do was think of her love. Her friends never understood her heart break. The only one who seemed to understand it was her mother. Kagome thought that was because her mother had felt heart break like this too, when Kagome's father had died.

She closed her eyes and pictured his face. His silver hair and dog like ears. She remembered how she had touched his soft silky ears when he still slumbered on this tree. A small smile crossed her lips. Touching the scar on the tree once more she whispered, "I miss you, Inuyasha." And with that she turned and went back into her house. To her bed to dream of happy memories she had of her days with Inuyasha.
