Farther and farther she fell
till nothing was there
i stood there staring
a hand touched my shoulder
my head turned to face
not her but my friend
she whispered something
then walked away
silently i wiped tears from my eyes
looked down then up
smiling i stared at the sky
clouds moved by slowly
the sky darkned
then cried
i walked away
smiling
at least she has no pain
but i never got to say
"I Love You"
