Yew and Holly
AN: guess.
The holly and yew trees had been best friends. It had started when the holly tree's arms (branches) were about to break under snow, and the yew tree had taken some of the load. Since then, they were friends. But now, both were gone, chopped down for firewood. Before they had been chopped down, however, a strange man came and cut a long strip from the yew tree, and a shorter strip from the holly.
It was a few years later. The man had been working for another man named Mr. Ollivanders, and he had put phoenix tail feathers in both. The funny thing was, both feathers were from one phoenix. He had just sold one, to a boy named Tom Riddle. The yew wand.
It was now nearly 50 years since the yew wand had been sold, when a boy named Harry Potter came and bought the holly wand. Mr. Ollivanders had written the phoenix's owner, Professor Dumbledore, about the wands, because they shared cores.
Neither Mr. Ollivanders, the yew tree, or the holly tree knew that Tom Riddle, the boy with the yew wand, would become the most powerful dark wizard since Slytherin. The yew tree would have been ashamed. Luckily, it never knew. Neither did the holly tree know that Harry Potter, the boy with its wand, would become a wizard with power enough to rival Tom. It seems fate has a sense of irony. Two trees that had been best friends, both had wand wood taken from them. And these wands had owners that were both the nemesis of the other. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss...
AN: I know, I know, holly isn't a tree. That's what my mom says, anyway. Review, or you will be taken down just like the trees. Flames will be used to burn Voldie's wand. Thank you, and good night.
Claimer: I own myself, the idea(I hope), and the brain that came up with the idea.
Disclaimer: JKR owns the wands and characters, and The Matrix owns the 'It seems fate has a sense of irony.', and The Matrix is owned by WB. (They own all the good movies! Pokemon, The Matrix, and the up-coming HP movies! The only they don't own is Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within! Or do they? By the way, FF is a good movie. 2 thumbs way up. And they continued the tradition of Cid.) (In the movie, not in HP. Cause, see, in every FF, there has been a Cid.) (You're getting tired of the parenthasies now, aren't you? Yep. You are. No sense denying it. Bye now!)
(BOO! Scared you! Scared you!)
( Okay, now review! :))
