Sitting with his legs crossed and his back against a tree Inuyasha inhaled deeply to revel in the scent of his cup of Ramen. In that moment he knew everything would be alright. Kagome had prepared this succulent food for him. She cared enough about him to supply him with food that was rightfully hers. She could have left him to go hunting and provide for himself, after all he had done it before, but she didn't. She wanted to take care of him, even if it wasn't necessary, and he couldn't really understand why. In a world where starving to death was all too common, she gave him food that she could have eaten. It was mind boggling. He didn't understand her at all, but he would accept her strange kindness. He didn't really want another argument. Besides, why would he argue? Ramen was just TOO good!

The warmth from his cup of ramen spread to his hands making him warm and cozy. The sound of the forest at night and the voices of his companions lulled him. He was sure that he would probably never go hungry again. If he couldn't find anything to eat, Kagome would feed him. He didn't have to fend for himself or push everyone away to secure his safety. They just shared, and depended on each other. He didn't have to be strong all the time anymore. He was no longer alone.

Inuyasha looked up while lifting some more delicious noodles to his mouth and observed the three humans and two demons that sat around the campfire eating and keeping each other company. Company was something he was still trying to get used to. Tomorrow they would head out to hunt jewel shards and Naraku, but just for that moment they were happy, healthy, safe, and free to enjoy heavenly ramen.

As the teenage inyhanyou finished off his cup of ramen his thoughts came full circle. He decided that he could depend on Kagome to put his life before her own and he was no longer alone. That thought in turn caused a strange emotion to arise with in him…it felt like; ...safety, fondness, content, and love. What was it? Oh well, " Hey Kagome! My cup's empty, make me more Ramen!"

Is that not the sappiest thing you have ever read? I have NO idea where it came from. Now, if my predictions are right you readers will be doing one of two things right now. Either shaking your head at the sappiness while never-the-less smiling or rinsing your mouth out to get rid of the yucky sweet taste. Review please and tell me whether or not I predicted correctly. I will write more sapiness if you ask for it, but I doubt you will, so whatever...
