Memories.

Me: I came up with this in the middle of the night so I apologize if it seems rushed.
I stand in front of the memorial stone that holds the names of the fallen ninja that have died as I scanned the names I could not help but feel that each of these names are significant. Each name contains the hopes and dreams of parents to their children and their children afterward. I finally find the name I was looking for 'Minato Namikaze' my father the fourth Hokage who sacrificed his life to save the village in which I fight for. A presence behind me informs me of who it is "Hello Kakashi-sensei." I mumbled as I lay a bouquet of roses in front of the stone "So here again Naruto?" he asks, I sigh as the tears flow down my cheeks " I can't help it Kakashi-sensei I learned who my father is after all this time I wanted to know for so long and still it doesn't heal the pain." Kakashi stands next to me laying down his own bouquet next to mine "I've never told you about my father didn't I? My father was quite famous he was known as the White Fang of Konoha. At one point the he was on a mission and he had to make a difficult decision whether or not to complete the mission or save his teammates. In the end he saved his teammates but they slandered his name and my father fell into a deep depression and killed himself. You see there's a reason why I rarely take off my mask whenever I look in the mirror I see my father staring back at me and the pain is still there after all these years." we both stand in silence as we collect our thoughts "Man we need a social life outside of the missions we are starting to turn emo." we chuckle at the mention of Sauske.
Later that night I sit on top of the Hokage monument overlooking the village a wave of hurt courses through me as I imagine the families that are spending time with their fathers "Umm… Naruto?" a shy and quiet voice spoke, startled I turn to see Hinata standing there with concern in her eyes, I smile at seeing my girlfriend for about a year "Hey Hime what brings you out here? Aren't you supposed to be at home with your dad?" Hinata smiles that would light up the heavens if given a chance "I want you to come to have dinner with my family tonight. I know that you've never knew your father, but maybe you could spend time with my father." I smiled at the gesture and follow my lavender princess to dinner.
