"Day of the Final Marlfox"
The sun shone brightly. It was the most beautiful day but yet it was not as it should be.
Redwall Abbey, It had been filled with all kinds of beasts long ago but now it was as quiet as a tomb. No one had lived there for years now.
The Final Battle, it had been excruciating. So few Redwall Warriors, so many Water rats, and their leader, Lantur a Marlfox said to be slain by her brother Mokkan, had planned the battle so well and finally won.
She took few prisoners and one, Abbess of Redwall, Songbreeze Swifteye had been slain. Many Redwallers had tried to capture Lantur but it is a known fact that some Marlfoxes have magic flowing through their veins. Of course Lantur escaped, but with only Fifteen of her sixty-five water rats!
From the backwoods, Log-a-log, a Redwall warrior and the Shrew chieftain, had been following Lanture. One by one he would grab a water rat from behind her back. In about 5 minutes She was down to two rats.
Lanture was hot from walking on the trail for so long that she decided to go down to the lake to cool herself. She took off her cape and walked down to the lake.
Log-a-log knew that the cape would prevent her from escaping if he had it.
Lantur kept her eyes on the water. There were pike in the lake and they were murderous fish. Log-a-log slowly crept up behind Lantur, At the right moment, He pushed her into the lake. The pike surfaced took Lantur under water, and she was never heard of again.
