"It's your turn now, Fox." The voice belonged to Samantha, Fox Mulder's sister. They played Stratego and Fox tried to get an overview of his troops. "It's a shame that I never got to known her." said Scully who were standing near Mulder. He got surprised to see her.
"Scully!" he said. "How are you here?" "This is just a dream with memories of your childhood that blends with contemporary things."
"Like you."
"Yes."
"I can always expect you to have a rational explanation for everything." Scully smiled and kneeled down to approach Mulder. For Samantha, Scully was invisible.
"Why are you bothering yourself?" asked Scully. Mulder was wondering about her question.
"What do you mean?"
"She's gone, Mulder. She's never coming back."
Samantha screamed and there was a loud sound while the room was bright white. Mulder was paralyzed by watching this: Samantha in a hovering state on the way out of a window.
"Samantha!" Mulder shouted. He could do nothing about it. There was another scream. Scully was in the same state like Samantha.
"Scully!"
A deeply despaired Mulder tried to do something, but it was too late.
"You never learn, Mulder." it sounded from the shadows. The voice belonged to Cancer Man, who always smoked. "You!" Mulder shouted. "Where are they!"
"Look up at the stars. You usually look for your precious truth up there. But I'm here Mulder and I have the truth right here: You'll always lose and you'll suffer from the loss of your beloved sister and your beautiful partner." Mulder tried desperately to move but nothing helped. Cancer Man enjoyed this and sprinkled ash on Mulder.
"I will kill you!" he yelled.
"Good luck with that!" said Cancer Man who instantly turned into a gray alien with big dark eyes. Mulder could see himself in it's expressionless eyes. He panicked.
"No!"
Mulder woke up from his couch, bathed in sweat and with tears in his eyes. He got up and looked out of the window. There were countless stars in the night sky. One shined more brighty than others and it came closer and closer. Mulder were dazzled by it. Everything turned white.
